They seem, all of them, to give off more light. Whose are they? Carver's? The editor's? Both? Not easy to make the call.(I'll refrain from mentioning The Waste Land.)Alanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16118551213083167665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755123332716147532.post-24016894129890928022013-12-01T23:57:47.284-08:002013-12-01T23:57:47.284-08:00This story pleased me on so many levels! Acquired through the much less local color Ebay, but at an appropriate price. Gave me some initial pause when I first heard the artist's history, but I still like the strong man confidently rowing into darkness.Brian Hopkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11448777895763312721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755123332716147532.post-64731242837519596262013-11-27T16:42:20.725-08:002013-11-27T16:42:20.725-08:00In a cafe I frequent there's an obvious copy o...In a cafe I frequent there's an obvious copy of a Monet up on the wall, a bridge arching over a hazy blue pond. Equally obviously it's a painting, not a print, and crude compared to the original. But I rather like it. When I get back I'll see if I scan them, and also post the name and a bit of biography about the "artist." Well, maybe those quotes don't need to be there? xo Mark<br />Mark Dotyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04148162515300148887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2755123332716147532.post-44422647633634131812013-11-27T13:23:48.202-08:002013-11-27T13:23:48.202-08:00430Wonderful story, and understory, Mark.
